The Itasca County Non-Violence Council is comprised of three agencies: Advocates For Family Peace, Itasca Alliance Against Sexual Assault & Cherish our Children.
 
The council's mission is to coordinate an effective interagency and community response to sexual, domestic and family violence; respectably serving all victims and seeking justice.
 

Members of the Itasca County Non-Violence Council include staff from the following offices and programs:

Itasca County Sheriff

Grand Rapids Police

Itasca County Attorneys

Health and Human Services

Probation

9th Judicial District Judges

Intervention Programs for Men and Women

 
The council meets the second Wednesday of every other month at 11:30 am at Forest Lake Restaurant.  Members come to the meetings with information related to upcoming events or projects they may be working on and issues that they have encountered.
